I really like the costumes for the Wade In The Water dance. They look amazing and I think they'll look great when we perform the dance. I love the flowiness of the skirts and I love the leotards!! I really like twirling and leaping in the costume. :) They look very professional and performance-ready. :) We all look like a very professional dance company. :P :D

This is the only picture I could find that looked like the costume

Recently, I've had a dance performance with my dance program out of school called B.A.X. We performed at L.I.U, in the Kumble Theatre. The stage was very big and there was seating for 300 people. It was extremely fun and I enjoyed it a lot!! I really loved performing in front of everyone, showing them what we've learned. It was the 25th anniversary for B.A.X, called the B.A.X Gala. I'm in DPW 1, Dance Performance Workshop 1. There are 3 DPW's and we got to choreograph duets/trios with the other DPW's in between the group dances. B.A.X also has a program called AcroBax, which is acrobatics and I really loved their performance and I was thinking of maybe joining AcroBax because I love tumbling and gymnastics and thats included in that class. :)

Broadway show

Recently I went to see the Broadway show Matilda. It was really good if you ever want to see it. Anyway, the show was mostly made up of acting and singing, although there was dancing in it too while they sung. Their movements were mostly made up of hand gestures and smaller movements than we do in class. They were in costume even though it was just normal school clothes, and their performance skills were incredibly good and dancers have those performing skills too while performing onstage.

Winter Arts Festival

In the Winter Arts festival in february we performed "I see fire." I kind of liked this dance because I liked the partner work and some of the repetition. Something that bothered me (this isn't about the dance itself) is the fact that we had to do it onstage with the other 7th grade class and with the 8th graders. I felt very squished and that I didn't have enough space to fully extend some of the movements. Comment what you thought about the winter arts festival, if you would have maybe liked it better with just our class, instead of with the other classes. :)
